Autodesk was founded in 1977. According to the company website, Autodesk’s goal was to design and develop “advanced design tools, professional architecture and engineering software, and learning and collaborative tools.” AutoCAD has been used by architects, engineers, and computer-aided design professionals to create technical drawings and 2D, 3D, and stereolithography (STL) files. AutoCAD has a long history of being used to create the blueprints for notable buildings around the world, such as the Berlin Wall, the Empire State Building, and the Louvre.

Today, most CAD programs still require computer programs that do CAD-related tasks. In fact, using AutoCAD, a user can draw a CAD model in 2D or 3D. Although there are some CAD programs that run on mobile devices, AutoCAD still has some advantages. It’s compatible with PC, tablet, and mobile devices and the company continues to develop it for new platforms and devices.

AutoCAD also provides some handy features, such as a drawing manager, which allows the user to click a button to place an object on the screen. AutoCAD users can also work collaboratively with AutoCAD using email, online storage, and file sharing. AutoCAD also lets users use AutoCAD programming.

AutoCAD vs. AutoCAD LT

AutoCAD (desktop) is a full-featured CAD and drafting application. AutoCAD LT (desktop) is a lower-end version of AutoCAD that is designed for mobile users. AutoCAD LT was first released in 2006, and it can run on Windows PCs, Windows Mobile, Windows RT, iOS, and Android devices. AutoCAD LT is designed for quick and easy 2D drafting on mobile devices.

Autodesk has more than 18 million registered users for AutoCAD, and AutoCAD LT users number more than 2 million. The desktop version of AutoCAD costs $1,300 ($1,440 in the UK) for an individual user, or $1,000 ($1,100 in the UK) if it’s purchased as part of a company’s software subscription. AutoCAD LT is free for students and residents of Canada, China, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, and Sweden. AutoCAD LT (Mobile) is available for iPhone and Android devices and costs $20.

Overview of AutoCAD

Functions

Inverse function

An inverse function is a function f that gives the value x of the equation f(x) = 0. Inverse functions are used in various engineering disciplines.

While the term inverse function is used, many scientific works use the term reciprocal function. Many works on graphics, however, use the term reciprocal function. Inverse functions are used in some types of scientific graphics. For example, an inverse function would be needed to render a 2D plane into a 3D model.

The function f

has an inverse (the inverse function of f) if there exists a function f’

that is defined for all

and for all

If the original function f is one-to-one then there exists a unique inverse function. If f is two-to-one then there exist two inverse functions; if f is two-to-one with multiplicity 2, or otherwise, there exist infinitely many inverse functions.

Given a function, the inverse function is usually unique. The inverse function is the unique function g

with

Definitions

If f is a real-valued function defined on an interval, then the inverse of f is defined on f(A) and it satisfies

and

There is a number of ways to prove the properties above. We give two proofs in two ways.

Proof by one-to-one.

Let g be an inverse function of f. We show the first property (by one-to-one). Let be a real number such that is a fixed point of f, and be a real number such that is a fixed point of g. Since f is one-to-one, there exists a unique such that is the fixed point of f. Therefore, is the fixed point of g since g is the inverse of f. The inverse property holds.

Let be the fixed point of g. The inverse property holds.

Proof by two-to-one with multiplicity 2.

There exists unique and unique such that and.

Proof by equivalence

Let f be a real-valued function defined on an interval, and let g be an inverse function of f. Since f is one-to-one, the inverse function g is defined on f(A). Then we show that g is two-to-one. We show the

Enhance your print-ready designs with intuitive markup that organizes, links, and highlights the information you need to save time. Add links, comments, notes, and hyperlinks to other documents or features within your drawing. (video: 1:26 min.)

Powerful parametric placement with easily shared options: Edit layouts with common configurations, import and assign parametric entities, and export and publish the parameters you’ve defined. (video: 1:30 min.)

A powerful, new typeface is included with AutoCAD. The symbol font is designed to make marks, text, and geometry stand out in color and style on your drawings. (video: 1:54 min.)

Pivot Points:

The new Arc tool combines an existing selection-based feature with a new pivot-point capability to help you create and modify the intersection of two arcs with just one click. (video: 1:08 min.)

See the arc in the Arc snap or at any distance without moving the cursor. The arc snap feature doesn’t require a line or the line’s center. (video: 1:40 min.)

New in block construction: With the Layouts ribbon tab, you can create a master drawing of the entire project, then add blocks (like walls, doors, and windows) and associate the blocks with the drawing’s features, objects, and text. (video: 1:20 min.)

Slice and dice:

The Slice tool helps you create a single, customized view of your drawing, without the need to hold the entire drawing in your hand. (video: 1:10 min.)

The Segment tool also helps you create and control the boundary of slices, enabling you to make precise, detailed cuts and to add and delete segments. (video: 1:34 min.)

Link multiple views to zoom to a specific view without opening a separate drawing. A new Zooming feature lets you adjust the screen size and perspective at any zoom setting. (video: 1:16 min.)

Coordinate systems:

The Coordinate System dialog box lets you define and edit the coordinate system for your drawing. (video: 1:24 min.)

When drawing, you can use the Coordinate Snap feature, now with additional options, to align your drawing’s existing objects and features. (video: 1:07 min.)
