AutoCAD 2016 features a revised interface. The icons on the title bar are color-coded based on their functionality. The icons on the ribbon contain the same names, but are in different colors to highlight their current state (active or inactive).

Introduction to the Revised User Interface

In AutoCAD 2013, the ribbon was added to the title bar of the application window. AutoCAD 2014 and 2015 added the ability to move the ribbon to the top of the window. However, AutoCAD 2016 reintroduces the title bar for two reasons:

• The title bar displays vital information about the current setting.

• The title bar is the main way that users interact with the application window and the different settings within the application. It is also the main window title on non-Windows platforms.

Formerly, AutoCAD Serial Key was developed and maintained by Autodesk (then Autodesk Research, and now owned by the former, but not the latter). Prior to January 2014, Autodesk maintained only the Autodesk SDK, which has been removed and replaced by the Autodesk Exchange. Users and deployment

AutoCAD is available for purchase as a licensed product, typically via an OEM contract, or as part of an integrated product suite. In April 2010, Autodesk released AutoCAD LT, a significantly stripped-down and cheaper version of AutoCAD. An OEM contract was no longer required for the purchase of AutoCAD LT. Although many features from the previous AutoCAD products remain available, the new product has fewer features and a reduced cost.

AutoCAD’s licensing model is both free (as a demonstration and educational) and commercial. With the free and educational versions of AutoCAD, a single instance of the program is needed to run on one computer. AutoCAD LT is also a free product. To run AutoCAD LT, a user must have the AutoCAD LT license. Autodesk Exchange apps may require one or more licenses of AutoCAD LT.

In February 2011, Autodesk released AutoCAD LT 2010 SP1, which introduced a new user interface and product features. The commercial versions of AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT are both priced per user, per year.

Autodesk began making AutoCAD LT free for students in July 2014. In August 2015, Autodesk reduced the price to US$150 for students, and reduced the cost for corporations and independent designers to US$100.

Set the scene type to Workshop and set the scene to 3D Model.

Open Autocad.

Click Open from the file menu.

Select the.ZIP archive that you downloaded.

Click OK.
