You play – Mimes
The Legend
Become a mime.
You have a job.
You are a mime.
But you’re not the best.
Your master is waiting for you.
Amusement park rides that surprise you.
Birthdays for toy bears.
Just a glimpse of your master’s plans for you.
Birthdays for toy bears.
Time to change.
Try to change, try to hide, try to escape.
You are in prison.
Your only hope is to find the key.
Have a new life.
You are free.
Adopt a style.
That was effortless.
First you have to adapt to your new environment.
You are free to choose a new outlook.
Try to change…
Try to keep up with the latest style.
Dress up!
Dress up your sweet bird!
Birthdays for toy bears.
Birthdays for toy bears.
They look like toys but they have a purpose.
The ride is over, it’s time to reassemble.
Your master is waiting for you.
No people, no noise, but…
Cities full of other mimes.
The world is your stage.
You’re the star, see for yourself.
You are free.
Show off what you can do.
You have a choice.
You are free to choose a new outlook.
Sorry, you can’t do that.
You are free.
Try to become a street artist.
But you have to choose a style.
You are free to choose a new outlook.
You are free to choose a new outlook.
You are free to choose a new outlook.
You are free to choose a new outlook.
Don’t give up.
You are free to choose a new outlook.
You are free to choose a new outlook.
You are free to choose a new outlook.
You are free to choose a new outlook.
Work your way up!
Up…
Honey, what’s next?
Up!
Honey, we’re outta gas.
Up!
You’re taking too long, you’re not concentrating.
You want to give up?
These are the people you’ll deal with.
They’re fast, but you have a head start.
They are evil.
They hurt people.
They destroy the world.
Honey, what’s next?

I launched my game on in the summer of 2019 and launched it as an actual release. If you want to see how it looks in game as it is now, check out the trailer above. It was a fun, but stressful summer. I worked hard to get Lonely Skies released. I’ve put a lot of effort into the game to make it better (as you’ll see!). I hope you like it! 🙂
If you want to see even more, I have 5 more videos. In this last video I go into depth on how to create your ship’s model.
The other videos cover some more bugs, UI improvements and what it’s like to launch your own game.

– Super easy custom sound. Just have a song and a sound effect play together, and the game will loop it. I hope you enjoy it! 🙂
– Many custom sounds for your ship and projectiles.
– Custom animation for your ship.
– Custom animation for your enemies (bosses & minions).
– Music tempo transitions (LFO changes).
Game Size:
Windows: ~27MB
Linux: ~39MB
Mac: ~11MB
History:
I made this game in the summer of 2019 during my second year at University of Utah. It was a fantastic experience for me to work on something like this.
During my first year I worked on the game “nano: Defender of the Galaxy”. It was good experience to see how a game’s size changes as it’s added onto over time.
In my second year, I worked on a lot of my own games. It was a great way to work on my game design.
The launch of “Lonely Skies” marked my first time working on a larger scale game.
Game Design:
Lonely Skies was designed to have more of a story. I want to have the player feel a sense of what’s going on throughout their journey. I’ve included a “Boss Save Scenario” to show how this works.
The first version of the game is small and easy to play.

The world of wallpapers has changed quite a bit in the last few years, but is there any hope? Since we’re the fabulous wallpaper-makers of this earth, it’s important to us to know what people use and what tools they’re using. We’ve taken it upon ourselves to collect this cool, informative data from the wallpaper crowd at large and use it to make your life easier – and prettier.
The entire wallpaper-hardware-software evolution began in Japan in the last century, around the late 1990’s. Before the birth of the internet, image boards were used to display wallpapers to folks with similar tastes. Think of the Chitashi Nami of the late 20th century as part of that tradition. The biggest problem with wallpapers for computers was that you couldn’t have them yourself. To get a wallpaper, you’d have to either use an expensive piece of software that allowed you to store numerous wallpapers on a disc, or you’d have to go out and find a wall at the wallpapers site in which you’d like the wallpaper to be saved. Since those are usually lots of dreary landscapes, most people sucked it up and settled on what they had. Maybe they got sick of the wallpaper or maybe it just didn’t look that great and they’d go back to the boring desktop.
The evolution into the technical world started about 15 years ago, as pocket organizers started to appear on the market. The earliest pocket organizers were mainly used for pictures and surveys. They were big, cheap “gray” plastic boxes that were basically the size of a mobile phone. With the widespread arrival of the internet and 3G technology, many of the compact favorite wallpapers started to appear online. Wallpapers on the computer store web sites are now a dime a dozen – but it’s the quality that really matters.
Last year, the focus shifted to wallpaper that could be downloaded from the internet. This changed the old hardware and software approaches, and a mixture of fancy video cards, over-clocked computers, and expensive windows were born. The internet is dead affordable these days, so things have significantly improved for the average computer user. However, the far majority of content found online (and it’s way more than we could ever bring to you) is still of the crappy variety that people like to feed their computers with.
