After writing about the recent police brutality in Dallas, Texas, that resulted in the death of a black man and sparking protests, VICE magazine calls on gamers to “get off their duffs and find guns.”

“I’m not saying that you need to call your town up and say ‘Yeah, we’re going to have a revolution,'” writes Philip Cole for the piece. “That doesn’t mean you have to go out and buy an AK-47, but you should at least make a plan with like-minded friends. If the police start to get too rough, you can always try to get the guys in suits to see reason.”

Indeed, while there’s no explicit call to arms in the piece, it’s directed at gamers who have already taken up arms against the police in recent years. In response to the recent unrest following the deaths of black men in Missouri and Texas, gamers have organized gaming events to raise funds for the families and have even called for protests.

Call for Police Reform

Vice’s call to arms comes in the wake of protests that erupted around the state of Missouri after two black men were shot and killed by police officers in August and September. Both cases involved police officers who shot to death Michael Brown, 18, and Alton Sterling, 37. Their deaths led to nationwide protests and saw the Black Lives Matter movement launch and gain steam.

Black Lives Matter, an organization that focuses on police brutality and black community issues, organized a number of protests around the country following Brown’s death. In response, gamers across the country rallied at gaming conventions, with some even traveling to St. Louis to join in.

“I’m still in shock,” said University of Missouri student Taylor Olstad, who organized the traveling gamers to St. Louis. “I was honestly just watching the news, and it was just really disgusting to see.”

Weapons, armor, and magic can be changed freely, depending on the game content.
When you create a new character, the character’s initial stats may not be appropriate.
To strengthen your character, you may need to spend gold.
There is also a “gear type” that can be selected upon creation of a character.
There are a variety of items and skills that will be assigned according to the gear.
Weapons, armor, and magic are affected by the stat that is designated in the gear type.
You can freely use any weapon and armor that you have equipped.
Weapon and armor that you do not have will be displayed in a separate tab in the equipment list.

Depending on what equipment you own and the attributes of your character, there may be a wide range of choices to choose from.
