PolyIblit is designed to make it easy to create and expand its own patches and soundtracks. You have to give it the style you would like by choosing your samples, selecting your waves and adding any FX you want to it. After you have chosen your samples and how you would like to sound your PolyIblit will run and you will be presented with a soundtrack of your choice and ready to be tuned and finally played. Modulation possibilities: PolyIblit also includes two LFOs with tempo sync and two ADSR envelopes. With the two LFOs you can modulate pitch and volume of your voices and the two ADSR envelopes you can modulate volume and hold level of the filter frequency range. PolyIblit is heavily based on the oscillator waveforms BLIT stands for. PolyIblit features three Blits (Pulse, Sawtooth and Triangle) that can be used to create very tight and good-sounding patches. PolyIblit features a Noise generator that can be modulated by two LFOs. PolyIblit contains two noise generators with the ability to connect two different noise sources, each one being modulated by its own LFO and the second sub-oscillator source. The PolyIblit engine has a 32 voices ADC (Analog Delay Coherent) that lets you use 128 different tones instead of 32. The ADC is modulated by a Speed LFO, Pitch LFO, ADSR Envelope and LFO. Modulation possibilities: There are four sets of multimode filters that can be used as a single resonant lowpass or highpass and pass or reject low and high frequencies accordingly. Since PolyIblit is a software synthesizer any modulation method that a VST 2.3 plugin can do is not possible. However, PolyIblit can do LFOs, control change, portamento and note on, in which cases they should all do their normal tasks. The filter section is quite versatile and contains DCAs to modulate filters without frequency dependent shifting. PolyIblit has two envelopes that can modulate the filter frequency range. ■ A lot of instruments can be translated into “voice” (Keyboard, Tempo, etc.) ■ The “Note On” parameters are sent to the VST host and will be interpreted by the VST host to control the instrument. ■ The “Control Change” parameters trigger the special “Greetings” Sequencer. ■ The LFOs (Low-Frequency Oscillator) have to be “automated” on Note On by right-click. The lfo 1 and lfo 2 have to be controlled by the normal LFO Mod wheel. ■ Each voice has its own little “LFO 1” “LFO 2” “Delay” and “Modulation” wheel. (note that the scope can only be enabled in voices 1,3,5,6,8). ■ Each voice has its own little envelope generator on Control Change 1 and 2 that is triggered by Right-Click. ■ LFO 1, LFO 2 and Delay have the same waveform parameters, so it is possible to modulate one parameter with another. ■ The LFOs can “learn” a new value and each voice will receive the new value. ■ If a CC1 of a voice (A) should have a different value than a CC2 of the same voice, a sample loop would be played on the MIDI channels 3 and 4 (note that only 1/2 of voices are modulated (2/3 of voices are not modulated)). ■ MIDI channels 1,2,6 and 7 are dedicated to the memory locations.
