Tip Adobe Photoshop can be used to edit photos right from a picture frame on your monitor—meaning you don’t need to create a hard copy of an image, print it out, and then open it in Photoshop. You can even create transparent layers of text to embed into your image. So you have more options for dealing with it—all through the convenience of your own monitor.
Adobe Photoshop Elements is $79 on the Adobe store, but it is also available on Google Play for only $59. Some of these features, such as a simplified interface, may not be available in the free version. But the free version includes powerful image-related tools, so you can get a feel for Elements’ powerful photo-editing tools. This tutorial shows you how to quickly resize images using Photoshop Elements, applying the same techniques used in Photoshop. Learn how to take a photo with your camera and then you can crop, rotate and size it. For a tutorial on how to take a picture, take a look at this post. Getting Started with Elements If you already have Photoshop or Adobe Photoshop CC, you can skip this step. In Elements, go to File > New from Selection. Or press Ctrl + N, F2 or Shift + F3. Click Select and drag to select a region of the photo. Use the Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur to soften the photo. If you want to sharpen the photo, choose Filter > Blur > Motion Blur. Click OK to close the dialog box. You have resized the photo. Using Filter > Adjustments: Resizing an Image The Resize button is in the upper-right corner of the dialog box. The Resize area is divided in 2 sections: Guided Resize (top panel) Select the type of resize you want to do: For instance, you might want to resize an image to get a perfect crop. To do this, click in the Resize area of the Adjustments panel and click the Crop button. Then, in the dialog box that appears, drag the selection frame on the photo to crop the image. Click the same Resize button to change the area that is being resized. The Resize Percent box enables you to create multiple image sizes by altering the % of the size of the original photo. For instance, if you are making a poster of an image, you can resize it to any size and print it. If your image is too small, the image will look blocky or blurry. To fix this, choose Image > Image Size. Click the down arrow in the Image Size dialog box and then select Reduce or Increase. This is a useful trick to immediately fix an image that looks a little blurry. Alternatively 05a79cecff
1. Field of the Invention This invention relates to a new gelled composition and to a new method of using the same in a water-in-oil emulsion detergent composition. 2. Prior Art Statement It is known to this art that water-in-oil emulsion detergent compositions can comprise a gelled copolymer of alkylene oxide monomers. For example, U.S. Pat. No. 3,274,130 discloses that the proportion of gel in the composition should comprise from about 0.1 to about 60 percent by weight of the composition. It is also known to this art that liquid detergent compositions containing gel-forming polymers are useful for removing soap or detergent residue which has been formed on the surface of fabrics or dishes during the washing process. More specifically, U.S. Pat. Nos. 4,120,835; 4,122,055 and 4,128,514 describe detergent compositions containing a combination of a nonionic surfactant and a hydrophobically modified polyalkylene glycol polymer as a soil suspensible gelator which is useful for removing soap or detergent residue from fabrics or dishes. The detergent compositions disclosed in these patents employ the so-called “non-formulating” or “incorporated” approach for gelation. This approach is described in U.S. Pat. Nos. 4,133,784 and 4,151,272. Specifically, the combined surfactant and gel-forming polymer is dispersed into the liquid phase of the emulsion prior to the formulation of the liquid phase into a water-in-oil emulsion. The ingredients are thus coated into the surfactant-rich continuous phase of the emulsion. The coats of surfactant and gel-forming material are adsorbed onto each other in the liquid phase of the emulsion. As the emulsion is sheared, these coatings coalesce and further adsorb onto each other. This results in the formation of a gel. It is essential to the success of these detergents that the polymer adsorb onto itself in the liquid phase, not the organic continuous phase. While such detergents are useful for removing soap or detergent residue from fabrics or dishes, they can have a tendency to agglomerate on storage, especially in warmer climates or when stored for a longer period of time. This can present problems in the method of shipment and storage. It would be of advantage to this art to provide
Q: Error when adding a menu to global page I’m trying to assign a menu to a global page. I go to System->Manage->Page Manager and click “Add” to the first dropdown menu. I enter “globalpage” in the next field, leaving the “Display Title”, “Component”, and “Settings” fields blank, and click “Apply”. The next time I look at System->Manage, all the menu options are gone. I have a custom menu that displays at the top of every page, and I can’t figure out why this is happening. A: Is it possible that you’re trying to assign the Global Page menu to a page? Global pages are for global views (portals, to-do lists, etc). In that case, I would look at the Global Page menu again. “We can’t afford to let rich people or corporations own all the politicians,” said Mr. Sanders in his remarks, which came just before the Senate voted to give the bank $45 billion to bail out the financial industry. “That’s wrong, and that’s the way it is in this country. It is obscene. It is grotesque.” Mention of the Senate vote, which passed by the same margin in April but with Mr. Sanders’s amendment intact, was a reference to the fact that the Obama administration and much of the Democratic establishment support the bank, perhaps in part because it was used to bail out the government-run insurance company, A.I.G. The negotiations over the bank amendment began in the Senate on Thursday night. But all that senators received was a small advisory note, the kind that senators often receive from the Congressional Budget Office, and a briefing from a senior official from the Federal Reserve. Mr. Sanders also lamented the fact that Democrats did not fare as well in the midterm elections as many had expected. “The fact that Democrats haven’t won the House and the Senate is a crying shame,” he said. “What we are witnessing now is a kind of populist, grass-roots surge against corporate power. The whole thing is much stronger than people think.” Mr. Sanders said that he was not necessarily ascribing the downfall of his party to a single issue.Antonio de Vega Antonio de Vega (born 8 October 1941) is
