Trying to rebuild your crashed ship, but there are plenty of dangerous creatures and other hazards out there that will make things difficult. Luckily, you have a computer that has a clear head and can take care of a lot of things for you, but it’s your job to think and act as effectively as it. What will you do to find what you need to repair your ship?
Hexadrift is a Casual Business Simulation game in which you must repair your sunken vessel before your resources run out. The game features 17 different upgrades that you can unlock by collecting resources. You play alone, but you can use the Computer to do all of the heavy lifting and keep you on track, so to speak. The Computer is your ship’s AI, and it can use the resources it collects to help you during your travels. The more up-to-date the better, and if things start to go wrong, the Computer will even warn you of a problem.
The game features 11 sectors to explore that are procedurally generated, with a randomized layout to make each run unique. That means that even if you were to play again, there would be more than three times the amount of the resources you would find.
The final sector of the game provides access to the Sector Scanners, allowing you to perform scans of the areas you explore to find the more valuable resources you’ll need. Each sector has at least one Scanner, to tell you exactly what you need to find and how to get it. The scanners are vital because you can’t explore every sector. It’s simply too big. Also, most sectors won’t have the resources you need, which means that you have to unlock them if you want to fully rebuild your ship.
You can access the upgrades through boosters that open as you collect the materials. Each upgrade gives you a set of bonuses for your gameplay.
