  Q: Your new CD is your first solo recording in 30 years. Does it mean that the Slovak musical scene has changed a lot in this period?

  A: My music does not have clear outlines in terms of time, nor content. Therefore, it is quite difficult to say, whether the Slovak musical scene has changed a lot in this period or it has not, and it certainly has. I do not even know if it has changed as much, because it is a highly subjective matter. But I do think that in the past, you could work in the classical idiom and not be exposed to the popular music, which was rising. I do think that people are now more willing to listen to your own music.

  Q: What do you like most about it?

  A: First of all, it was a privilege to perform your music at home. And, naturally, people liked it and they recognized that it has been a long time since I have played my music so freely, so spontaneously, and with so much energy, that I did not feel compelled to write a new piece to accompany it, but to play it.

  Q: Your concert at the HRO in Bratislava some years ago, and the audience told about how they felt, was that the right moment to record a solo album?
