Installation and Evaluation of the iNEMIS Educational System (iNEMIS)

In order to further evaluate the iNEMIS educational system, a study was conducted to
evaluate the satisfaction of students and their families who completed the educational
system.

A study was conducted in accordance with the objective of the research and in
agreement with the general conditions for conducting a research project (resolution
5512). The study obtained the approval of the Ethics Committee on Research Involving
Humans of the Federal University of Piauí (Approval No. 0222.2013.CEP).

In order to perform the study, a formal invitation was sent by email to the parents
of schoolchildren attending the fifth and eighth grade of the Sedlar and Lourdes
Junior High School in the city of Teresina, Piauí, Brazil, which is a public school
classified as a level three school by the Brazilian Ministry of Education.

The invitation stressed the importance of the study and invited the family to give
their written informed consent to participate in the study and to answer a series
of questions.

The sample was composed of the families of schoolchildren that completed the
educational system and who signed the consent form, and constituted the population.
The sample consisted of 12 students who participated in a survey to rate their
satisfaction with the project, as well as their evaluation of its usefulness, the
contents, the teaching methods, the teachers and their knowledge of teaching
methods. The sample was composed of six families of each schoolchild and was
stratified by sex. The latter was chosen based on previous studies (de Luca et al.,
2002; Pindar et al., 2005; Schofield et al., 2006) that had used it as an
independent variable.

A descriptive cross-sectional study with an intervention design was performed. For
that, a questionnaire was applied using a structured interview to each family, the
answers being coded on a four-point Likert scale in accordance with the degree of
agreement (from 1- totally disagree to 4- totally agree) with the factors and
constructs of the program evaluated.

The following variables were analyzed:
· The degree of agreement with the project assessed by the family members: usefulness,
contents, methods, teachers and their knowledge

Human insulin is one of the most used medical products in the world. The increase in the worldwide demand for insulin over the last 30 years, together with the fact that only a small group of amino acid residues (three in A chain and one in B chain of the A chain of the insulin molecule, and two in B chain of the B chain of the insulin molecule) are responsible for the biological activity of this hormone, motivated several studies for the development of new insulin analogues with different physicochemical properties that can retain the glycemic response, but also additional pharmacological properties. To achieve this goal, many laboratories have focused on the synthesis of these analogues, as a crucial step for the optimization of new molecules. In this review, the synthesis of the sulfonylaminoacetic acids is presented as a keystone in the synthesis of several insulin analogues.—
abstract: ‘Computing $K$-torsion coefficients is one of the most time-consuming steps in determining the discriminant of an algebraic number field. In this study, we propose a new method based on the use of the Riccati differential equation to compute $K$-torsion coefficients. The proposed method is based on the following two observations. First, $K$-torsion coefficients can be expressed as the coefficients of a matrix. Second, if a matrix is obtained from a vector, then there is a method to convert the matrix into a vector. We first construct a vector of the “exact eigenvalues” of the Riccati differential equation. We then show that the vector of the exact eigenvalues is equal to the vector of $K$-torsion coefficients. This leads to the form of the matrix constructed by the proposed method. Furthermore, the use of the Riccati differential equation in the computation of $K$-torsion coefficients is also explained. Finally, numerical examples and comparisons with existing methods are provided. The results of these examples show that the proposed method is efficient, accurate and reliable.’
